Karen Tuveson
I honor my love of nature by creating sustainable art.
I grew up on a dirt road in the middle of midwest dairy farms, climbing trees, watching the sky, and dreaming of far-away places. When I began to travel as an adult, I found myself drawn to mountains, forests, plains, marshes, the desert - places where our world is virtually empty of people yet full of beauty. Throughout my life, I've relied on nature to help me decompress and reconnect with myself and my creativity, especially whenever I need to alleviate stress or clear my head.
I have a college degree in painting, worked in hospitality, and then moved on to
Corporate America. Throughout it all, I’ve painted. My art has been in galleries, cafes, private
homes, and exhibitions across the country, with collectors living throughout America, Europe,
and Africa. When I left my last corporate job, I said, “Enough of this! I want to make art full time.” So I do, and I love it.
